Plain talk up top. LeadCatch sends and receives text messages on behalf of local businesses you chose to contact. We keep the smallest amount of information needed to do that job, we never sell it, and we never share your mobile number with anyone for marketing. The details are below.

This Privacy Policy describes how Ekko ("we", "us") collects, uses, and protects information in connection with the LeadCatch service (the "Service"), including text messages sent through it and the pages at ekko.technology/leadcatch.

1. What this covers

LeadCatch is a messaging service operated by Ekko on behalf of participating local businesses. When you call or text a participating business and they cannot answer, the Service replies by text from that business's number. This policy covers the information handled to make that work.

2. What we collect and why

  • Your phone number, when you call or text a participating business. We need it to reply to you and to let the business call you back.
  • Call details (time of call, whether it was answered). Used to send you a text when your call could not be answered.
  • The content of text messages between you and the business, so the conversation makes sense across replies and the business can pick it up where the assistant left off.
  • Information you submit through a participating business's website contact form (name, phone number, your message), so the business can respond to your request.

We do not collect this information for advertising. We do not build marketing profiles. We use it only to run the conversation you started with the business you contacted.

3. Text messaging disclosures

  • Message frequency varies.
  • Message and data rates may apply. Charges are billed by your mobile carrier.
  • You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. Plain requests like "stop texting me" are honored too, permanently.
  • For help, reply HELP to any message or email support@ekko.technology.
  • Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

4. Mobile information is not shared

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, excluding the vendors listed below who act only on our instructions to deliver the Service itself.

We do not sell personal information. Ever.

5. Service providers we rely on

A small number of vendors process information on our behalf, strictly to deliver the Service and never for their own marketing:

  • Twilio, which carries the phone calls and text messages.
  • Amazon Web Services, which hosts the Service and its database in the United States.
  • Anthropic, whose AI model drafts replies for businesses that use the assistant feature. Message content is processed to generate the reply.

6. How long we keep information, and how to have it removed

Conversation records are kept so the business you contacted has its customer history. Opting out (STOP) immediately and permanently stops messages to your number.

To ask what we hold about your number, or to have it deleted, email support@ekko.technology. We will respond within 30 days.
