Dillydally · iOS · coming soon

Less scroll. More doing.

The anti-scroll app for people who’d rather be doing the thing than watching it. Pick what you love, watch a small daily quota of short videos, then get asked the only question that matters: ready to go do one?

The problem

Most apps want your attention. We want your time back.

You opened your phone for one thing and lost an hour. We’ve all done it. Dillydally inverts the assumption.

There’s a hard daily cap of 10 prompt cards. Every three cards, the feed pauses and asks if you’re ready to go do one. When you hit the cap, the app closes itself with a single line: “Feed ends. Go do something.”

Feature · Hard daily cap

The feed ends after 10.

No infinite scroll. No “one more.” No algorithm trying to win another minute of your life. The cap isn’t a setting you can disable — it’s the product.

Feed ends. Go do something.

The app closes itself after card 10. There is no “load more.”

Feature · Commit interstitial

Every three cards, the feed asks you to act.

It pauses the scroll and shows you a single question with three answers. “Ready to do one?” “Do this too.” “Do later.”

“Do this too” books it now. “Do later” schedules it for tonight, tomorrow morning, or this weekend. Planned intentions follow through better than spontaneous ones — that’s the whole point.

After 3 cards

Ready to go do one?

Pick one. We’ll close the feed.

Dillydally weekly digest showing 32 minutes done, a watch/do ratio of 0.00x, a 1-day streak, and an activity bar chart
Feature · Watch vs do

A ratio you can’t hide from.

Your weekly digest shows two numbers side by side: minutes spent watching, minutes spent doing. It’s designed to feel bad when watching outpaces doing.

No notifications about it. No nudges. Just the truth, on a Sunday morning, in your own digest.

Feature · Habits row

Habits live at the top — not in the feed.

Floss. Stretch. Read 10 pages. One-tap chips at the top of home. No carousel, no commitment ceremony, no “watch a video about flossing.”

You log them in two seconds and move on with your day. The feed is for inspiration. The habit row is for follow-through.

How it works

Pick, watch, commit, log.

Four steps. Most users finish the loop in under five minutes a day.

  1. 01

    Pick your interests

Choose from twelve interests across movement, outdoors, creative, and mind-and-care. Tier them Core, Regular, or Occasional — we show you more of what you marked Core.

  2. 02

    Watch the daily quota

Up to 10 prompt cards, each with up to 3 short community videos (≤30 seconds). No autoplay forever. The feed ends.

  3. 03

    Commit

Tap “Do this now” to start, or “Do later” to schedule for tonight, tomorrow, or this weekend.

  4. 04

    Log it

Quick duration pick (10/20/30/45/60 min). Optionally record a ≤30-second video of you doing it. Moderated before it joins the feed.

What’s not in the app

The features we left out on purpose.

  • Infinite scroll
  • A For You page picking your interests for you
  • Public follower counts or creator leaderboards
  • Comments
  • DMs
  • “We miss you” re-engagement pings
  • A paid tier
  • Cross-app tracking

The product wins because it respects your time, not because it captures it.

FAQ

Questions people have asked.

When does it launch?

Dillydally is in private testing now and submitting to the App Store soon. Drop your email below to be notified at launch.

Is it free?

Yes. Dillydally is free at launch, with no paid tier and no ads. If we ever introduce a paid feature, the free tier stays free.

Can I really delete my account?

Yes. Settings → Delete Account. Your data is hard-deleted across our database, your videos are removed from our hosting partner (Mux), your analytics identity is deleted at PostHog, and your Sentry user identifier is scrubbed. The cascade is documented end-to-end in the privacy policy.

Why no comments or DMs?

Both create surface area for harassment and drag the app toward engagement-at-all-costs. The product is about going off the phone to do the thing. Reactions exist; comments and DMs don’t.

Can I export my data?

Yes. Settings → Export My Data gives you a JSON dump of everything tied to your account. Or email <PRIVACY_CONTACT> and we’ll send it within 30 days.

What about Android?

The codebase targets both iOS and Android via Expo. iOS ships first. Android follows once the App Store launch is stable.
